The new year has begun, yet some 11 1/2 hours in, it feels no different. Therefore I need to begin thinking of what I need to do to improve on last year… Here goes:

Read my Bible daily
Count to 10 before yelling at the boys
Eat better
Exercise
Focus on my web work
Drop more ( EntreCard )
Tweet More
Learn more RACF / ACF2 / and Natural programming
GeoCache more
Learn to relax

That is ten of about a million things I want to do.

I am off to start at least one of them.

Another busy Saturday on the horizon

Today began with some EC Dropping and then this post.

Later we will be heading to Nick’s final soccer game of the season. He is really doing well. This is the first sport he has kept excitement about throughout the whole season. Basketball is next starting this Wednesday.

Later today we are heading to the Good Zoo at Oglebay for Boo at the Zoo. The kids get to dress up and walk through the zoo collecting candy along the way. We also ride the train while we are there. It is a great time.

Does not sound busy by the number of things, but it will definitely be a long day.

Donovan has already shown us that he is in his stubborn, insubordinate mood today. Looks like some time out time will be handed out in between the events of the day.

Add a couple of icky sinus issue fighting parents and it makes for a long day.

Saturday – what will I get into today?

I was awakened at 6am by my BlackBerry. I am on call this weekend (yippee skippee).

I took care of the user with the problem and decided to stay up and work on a script I have been coding for what seems to be an eternity.

I won’t go into a lot of detail yet, but I think it is a fresh idea. A simple concept really. I am no Alex Tew, but I think I may be on to something… (I hope.)

I have dropped about 150 EntreCards so far today. As well as placed a few ads.

It is now almost 10:30 and I really need to think about breakfast and spending some family time with the wife and kids.

Today is my Blogoversary

I have been blogging off and on for a few years now.

As of late, mostly off.

Over the years I have found quite a few blogs that bring me back, and quite a few that I hope to never see again. I hope my blog does not fit in your choice of the latter…

Joby’s Blog is a cornucopia of concepts really. I simply want to log into my admin and spurt off whatever is on my mind.

If I have a cause to promote, it will be here.
If I have a complaint to get off my chest, yup, it’ll be here.
If I want to promote and get a link or two out about my latest client or personal site (urlmorph.com)… well I think you get it.

Thanks for visiting (and in some cases dropping) this blog and showing me that it does interest someone other than my own narcissistic nature.

Back to work,two milestones, and an apology

I get to head back to work today.
I have not been there (physically) since Friday thanks to the 3 day weekend and a work from home day.

I enjoyed working from home and honestly wish I could do it more often.

And now the milestone…

URLMorph is a URL Shortening service. Useful for Twitter etc. You enter your url into the text box and it gives you a shorter (in most cases) url to use when you are limited to the number of characters in your post etc.

I am willing to give away EC because I understand the value of advertising. If you are willing to use a service and grant a post about it, I am willing to pay you (in EC) for it.

The title has NO meaning to the post, I just had the song in my head…

I wanted to get in and let all of my Entrecard pals know that I have started dropping again [for now] and am up to 100 a day. I prefer to drop on those who have dropped on me so if you want my drop – well you know what to do.

Also, please note, I reject any paid ads in my EC Widget. I want to make sure those of you who paid credits to advertise on my blog get your credit’s worth.
