I won’t bore you with the nitty gritty, but as an overview:

My wife and I were excited to announce we were going to be having baby #3, but God seems to have had another plan and has already invited her/him to live with Him in heaven.  This is bittersweet for Kim and I as we were really excited to have another bundle of joy, but trust fully in God and His plan.

So, when AngryMongo put up their contest (yeah this one) I could not wait to enter so I entered right away!

Life has been pretty busy around here lately so after entering, I sorta lost track of time and forgot when the contest ended, but I was quickly reminded last night when I received an email with an odd message…

So here is the deal. I am starting an auction site for Gift Cards. The site is a ‘penny auction’ site.

Basically I will place a gift card up for auction. The starting price of the auctions will be $0.00. Each time a person places a bid on the price will increase by a set amount and the time remaining will increase by a number of seconds.

Bids are purchased in packs and are used one at a time. Each time you bid on an item, your bid count drops.

For the launch on 1-1-11 I have made some slight changes to the normal operation of things. I wanted the launch to be a bit more challenging. I have placed 4 $100.00 ‘Your Choice’ auctions up. Each auction is worth $100.00. This means you can mix and match the cards you receive as long as the total worth of the cards is $100.00.

The first 10 to sign up and purchase a bid pack will be placed into a random drawing to receive a $50.00 card of your choice.

Quite a few things have happened in those 21 days.

My Mo has come in quite nicely as you can see in a couple of places
- Movember in the menu bar (slacking there too sorry)

I have also won quite a bit of swag (more on that later)

Today starts a bit of vacation for me, but my lovely bride has pretty much filled every minute with “Honey-Do’s” so I am not even sure it is a vacation

It is just nice not to have to drive 40+ miles each way for the next week     .^_^.

It was a day of beginnings.

• The beginning of the month
• The beginning of Movember
• The beginning of another monthly Endomondo challenge at work
• The beginning of my realization that I will always have these headaches

The first point is obvious so I will move on to #2

Movember, as I mentioned in yesterdays post is where I will be growing a mustache to help fight Prostate Cancer.

The Endomondo challenge is where two other guys from work and I compete to see who can walk, the most recorded miles in a months time.

The final point actually stems back to March when I started having headaches. I met with my neurologist yesterday and aver reviewing my MRI’s he has determined I do not need surgery. The headaches are caused by degeneration in my lower neck disc’s and some pretty nasty arthritis. So I will be spending the rest of my life on medication.

That will not stop me though
