Ok time to rant…
I have had Adsense on my sites for a couple years and I am just now nearing the payout limit. I realize I do not get super amounts of traffic, but the ads are prominent yet not obtrusive.
So what gives?
Does anyone really click on Adsense ads?
Mind you, I do not need the income that this site could generate, but to keep the ‘Little Mrs.’ happy, it would help to cover domain and hosting costs…
Before you ask, or start on the SEO Blah Blah Blah stuff, no I have not read any of the magical theories as to who clicks where based on gender, location, and last meal…
I just want to know if people click ads anymore.
Those of you who are doing well, tell me… don’t point at an ebook or some over-hyped website that wants my $ to make me $, just tell me in plain English if you are getting clicks. I don’t want your secrets. I don’t want your screen caps of PayPal for proof. Just tell me…
Does anyone click Adsense ads?
‘Till next time…

Yes, Adsense can work. I am covering the costs of a dedicated server with Adsense at the moment but a few years ago earned enough over a 12 month period to live comfortably, clear debts and get some major work on the house completed.
My site was getting over 500,000 page impressions a day, the site was viral and dynamic, the content was changing daily. Unfortunately Google wasn’t a fan of the site and removed it from their index and the adsense earnings soon dropped.
My other sites earn nothing but they have few content updates etc.
SO on my experience forget about adsense, get good fresh content daily or as often as possible, content leads to traffic, with traffic comes adsense earnings.
Thanks for the input Greg.
I have noticed my recent clicks have been coming from a dynamic site that actually updates many times a day.
Guess that means I need to either update this blog with my Twitter account… or just take more time to keep you all posted.
