I have been away too long, but am unsure anyone even noticed (LOL).
A great many things have happened since my last meaningful post.
My father has been in to visit. We had a really great time. We took the kids to the Toy and Train museum in Wheeling. We ate at a number of local restaurants (so dad could reminisce of course.) We spent time at my Aunt Chris’s in the pool and or hanging out on the back patio. My father’s brothers were in town as well, so we spent an evening at the Mountaineer Casino. It was nice to see Dad and Sue. The boys really loved the personal time with JaJa.
Nick has started soccer. I think he will have a better time with it than he did with baseball because he is always on the move. Baseball bored him. Soccer on the other hand is going to wear him out, so I am sure there will be periods of him standing around, but mostly out of weary-ness. His first game is Tuesday the 8th (Donovan’s 5th birthday…)
Donovan has taken to running off with the neighbor girls. They claim he is following them, but he only does it when they come to play and leave…
We have brought back over 2000 employees over the past 2 months at work. The process I created for myself to ease the workload, has now been slated to be moved to our European counterparts as part of their normal routine. I am very excited that my work has been recognized.
I took a 50/50 partnership with the owner of MagLance.com. I was commissioned by the owner a couple of years ago to create the site before the official launch of the Magento E-Commerce script. The site is for installation, modification, and template design specifically for the Magento script.
I purchased a 1TB Hard Drive (which I have yet to install) for the unbelievable price of $79.95 with free shipping!!!
According to my pay stub ( I get paid once a month) I was hired on full time with U.S. Steel on August 1st. I was informed September 1st by the General Manager of Infrastructure, My Project Manager, and My Team Manager. The hire on came complete with a promotion (job title only) and a nice raise. Thanks goes to God for blessing me and my family with the opportunity of this job and the ability to rise to the occasion when needed.
Well that should catch you up on the high points.
More to come on a normal basis.
