At precisely 7:00 am today my wife walked out the door.
She and her parents began their trip to Kentucky to be there when her brother’s plane lands bringing him home from Iraq. His landing marks his second (and final we hope) tour of duty.
While Mommy is away, Daddy gets to do the stuff that mommy normally does.
Here is a brief schedule for the next few days.
Sunday – (today) Dressed – Breakfast – Church – Home – Lunch – Oldest has to work on Christmas Tree – Dinner – Back to Church for Fall Festival -Home – Brush teeth – in jammies – in bed.
Monday – I go to work – My Mother takes care of the boys…
I get home – Homework for Olderst – Dinner – Oldest and I go to Cub Scout Halloween Party – Home – brush teeth – in jammies – in bed. Daddy Signs the Agenda book for Oldest. Daddy does his EntreCard Drop and goes to bed.
Tuesday – I go to work – My Mother takes care of the boys…
I get home – Homework for Oldest – Dinner – hang out with the boys – brush teeth – in jammies – in bed. Daddy signs Agenda book – Daddy does his EntreCard Drop and goes to bed.
This is pretty high level as there are all kinds of little things that show up in there that we just do.
I enjoy this very much. We don’t get much time with just the 3 of us.

Woo Hoo! Let’s hear it for the Dad! Enjoy the time together. And glad to hear your wife’s brother is safely coming home from Iraq.
Good that your brother in-law is coming home safely. Children are a joy. I only have one , a little girl. But her mom and I are divorced, so I get her all to myself at least three days a week. And I love it.
