This week has been busy. Not hurry up and get it done busy, but a lot of things going on busy.
Training was pretty interesting this week in a geekly sort of way.
Our group worked with two different sets of teachers from Penn State.
The group was two men who taught us some of the finer points of oral presentations.
I mentioned the fiasco of seeing my self on video for the first time in my previous post.
I have given quite a few presentations in my day. During my time at University of Phoenix, we were required to present on the final day of each course. Each course was 5 weeks long and I attended for over 3 years – you do the math, I don’t care to think about it…
The other teacher was a gentleman who taught us how to write more professionally. (You won’t see a lot of his teaching in my blog style LOL)
I have always been a fan of writing. Not “story” writing, but writing in general. At work I always try to word my emails professionaly and appropriately. I have done this with MJF Designs and in any position I have held that requires me to type an email. I was shocked at first, then releaved to find out my writing was overkill. If you know me, you know that simple is better in my book. I am quite glad to know I do not have to spend as much time looking for the $50 word to make myself look more smarter than I am (LOL).
Last night we had a small get together after class.
Today we get to work in a Food Bank.
It has been a pretty busy week. One I enjoyed quiet well, but I am glad it is coming to an end.
The weekend however, does not indicate any type of slowdown for me and my family.
I have a cousin who is getting married on Saturday.
The Youth Group I lead is in charge of decorations for Sunday’s party
My Brother-in-Law arrives home from Iraq on Monday…
While each day has its share of business, I would not change any of them.
