SixDegreesFromYou.com – In early July 2008, Gregory Mathews in the UK and Michael Franczek, Jr in the USA where chatting via Instant Messaging and the subject of the Six degrees of seperation theory came up, don’t ask how or why as they still don’t know to this day but it did, so they decided that it would be fun to test it out.
The idea is based on the notion that we are all 6 people away from knowing the entire world.
We have all played the game six degrees from Kevin Bacon, where you find an actor/actress and within naming 6 movies or tv shows they were in you can list them working with Kevin Bacon.
At 6D, our goal is to have you 6 people from KNOWING Kevin Bacon, or Bill Gates, or Angelina Jolie, or… or… well you get the point.
The site is pretty much a little experiment to see if the world really is six degrees apart from one another.
