SixDegreesFromYou.com – In early July 2008, Gregory Mathews in the UK and Michael Franczek, Jr in the USA where chatting via Instant Messaging and the subject of the Six degrees of seperation theory came up, don’t ask how or why as they still don’t know to this day but it did, so they decided that it would be fun to test it out.
The idea is based on the notion that we are all 6 people away from knowing the entire world.
We have all played the game six degrees from Kevin Bacon, where you find an actor/actress and within naming 6 movies or tv shows they were in you can list them working with Kevin Bacon.
At 6D, our goal is to have you 6 people from KNOWING Kevin Bacon, or Bill Gates, or Angelina Jolie, or… or… well you get the point.
The site is pretty much a little experiment to see if the world really is six degrees apart from one another.
Give it a try.

I got a forward today. I normally never read them, I just don’t by into all the you gotta do this in 13 seconds or you toe will fall off garbage.
I read this one and you should too.
Think of this the next time you are too busy to play with your kids!
It changed me that is for sure!
A son asked his father, ‘Dad, will you take part in a marathon with me?’ The father who, despite having a heart condition, says ‘Yes’. They went on to complete the marathon together. Father and son went on to join other marathons, the father always saying ‘Yes’ to his son’s request of going through the race together. One day, the son asked his father, ‘Dad, let’s join the Ironman together.’ To which, his father said ‘Yes’ . For those who didn’t know, Ironman is the toughest triathlon ever. The race encompasses three endurance events of a 2.4 mile (3.86 kilometer) ocean swim , followed by a 112 mile (180.2 kilometer) bike ride, and ending with a 26.2 mile (42.195 kilometer) marathon along the coast of the Big Island .
Father and son went on to complete the race together.

So, have you ever found out that a member of your family had passed away from someone OTHER than your family?
Today, I did. Before I go off on my rant, I have to start by saying they were not REALLY family but they were part of one of my family members life for 15+ years.
<<begin rant>>
I found out that my aunt’s significant other of over 15 years died. I do not know when, I do not know how. That in and of itself is bad, but what this rant is about is that I did not get one phone call, email, IM, Myspace message, Facebook message, text message, telegraph, or friggin courier pigeon telling me about the news.
<<end rant>>
whatev’ as the kids are sayin’ lately.
Homer, rest in peace buddy.
